Doyle Security Systems Inc., a New York State provider of residential and commercial security, fire and medical monitoring systems, has announced the acquisition of STAT Communications, a privately-held company founded in Watertown, N.Y., in the 1950s. STAT’s 3,800 security accounts and 1,200 medical monitoring accounts will now be monitored by Doyle Security’s emergency response center, while service and installation work will continue to be provided by STAT team members who will be joining the Doyle team.

Along with the acquired accounts, Doyle Security will be retaining STAT Communications’ Watertown, N.Y., office and 22 employees, including current CEO Bruce Morgia and vice president Travis Morgia. Watertown will become the ninth Doyle branch, joining Buffalo, Olean, Syracuse, Albany, Fishkill and Catskill, N.Y., Erie, Pa. and the corporate headquarters in Roch-ester, N.Y.

Speaking in reference to the merger, Doyle Security President and Chief Executive Officer John G. Doyle Jr. said “STAT Communications is a highly successful family business managed by the Morgia and Dawley families for more than 50 years. We are very fortunate to have Bruce Morgia and his team joining forces with us. Together, we will be able to provide even better security to more homes and businesses in Central and Northern New York and beyond.”

In 2020, Doyle Security acquired Austin Security in Olean, N.Y. and Hart Alarm in Albany, N.Y.
