2021 Systems Integrator of the Year

This year’s SDM Systems Integrator of the Year has to be knowledgeable about more types of technology than most typical security integrators. In addition to the seven main access control, nine IP video, three intrusion, four intercom and two fire alarm systems Unlimited Technology offers its customers, the company also represent 40 cyber platforms, not to mention a host of network, AV and other solutions. And the list is constantly growing. Unlimited’s 170-plus employees hold more than 500 certifications on 73 different types of professional, industry and product solutions.

Why do they do this?

“From the beginning, we have never settled that we are only a traditional security systems integrator,” says David Fernandez, senior vice president of innovation. “Instead, we have constantly looked beyond the industry’s curve where you can’t see the path and pushed the boundaries of what a security system integrator can become. This simple concept of leveraging creative invention to respond to a critical challenge grew into our Innovation Department. … We don’t believe many companies like ours can take a project from the start to a solid and successful finish. Our process includes application engineering, design engineering, CAD drafting, BIM/Revit capabilities, project management, IT engineers, cabling, installation, service, network and asset health monitoring, cyber, managed services, and integration. This process is not only for security but for all our low voltage disciplines from Tel/Data, converged networks, audio visual, distributed antenna systems, fire, civil work, and other technologies, to name just a few.”

This philosophy is what took the company from its founding as a locksmith in 1999 to an end-to-end technology solutions and managed services provider today.
