The Monitoring Association's AVS-01 Alarm Validation Standard provides a method of creating an alarm scoring or classification metric for unauthorized human activity detected by alarm systems that will assist law enforcement with resource allocation and call for service prioritization. 

There is a lot of excitement by industry stakeholders that AVS-01 could be a real game changer in how the alarm industry and public service collaborate in the future.
