Johnson Controls has introduced the IQ WiFi 6, a new purpose-built mesh router solution for homes and businesses with security, automation and Wi-Fi devices. The IQ WiFi 6 is a Wi-Fi Alliance Certified router with Alarm.com management software built in, delivering improved end-to-end user experience and reduced dealer maintenance, support calls and truck rolls.

"Dealers no longer need to be burdened with unnecessary truck rolls for Wi-Fi related issues," said Johnson Controls VP and General Manager Dave Pulling. "IQ WiFi 6 checks all the boxes for speed, meshing, and performance, with one critical differentiator: Remote connectivity via Alarm.com.”

When paired with the IQ Panel, the IQ WiFi 6 delivers three unique network/SSIDs: one for the end user’s personal or business devices, an easy-to-join guest network, and a dedicated security network for the dealer’s installed devices such as cameras, doorbells and garage openers. These networks can be managed and maintained by end users and service providers through the panel’s 7” touchscreen, iOS and Android mobile apps, and the Alarm.com website and Partner Portal.

"The IQ WiFi 6 will help the professional security channel deliver greater reliability, value, and the best possible customer experience to property owners," said Dan Kerzner, chief product officer, Alarm.com. "The IQ WiFi 6 combines best-in-class home network Wi-Fi technology together with a tight integration between the Alarm.com platform and the IQ Platform. We are excited to partner with Johnson Controls to bring this innovative Wi-Fi router solution to market."

IQ WiFi 6 leverages The Qualcomm Networking Pro 400, a flexible Wi-Fi 6 platform designed to meet the growing demands of increasingly crowded and dense Wi-Fi environments.

IQ WiFi 6 is now available at authorized Johnson Controls distributors in the United States and Canada, and will soon be available in various locations throughout the world.
