Systems integrator Convergint announced it has acquired Beckwith, a Texas-based integrator that operates Beckwith Electronic Engineering Co. and Beckwith Electronic Systems.
Beckwith specializes in communication, security and life safety systems. The acquisition adds 140 colleagues to Convergint, greatly expanding the company’s vertical reach and presence across the South Central region of the United States.
Since its founding in 1962, Beckwith has built a reputable brand and culture, providing a range of life safety and communications systems across vertical markets including: healthcare, education, commercial, restaurant, retail, government, and hotels.
With a well-established client roster, Beckwith brings experienced and highly trained life safety personnel that expand Convergint’s existing service capabilities in the region. Through the acquisition, Convergint will continue to grow and develop Beckwith’s extensive and established network of customers and partner relationships.
“We are impressed by Beckwith’s longstanding reputation in the industry, which aligns perfectly with Convergint’s mission and ongoing commitment to being our customers’ best service provider,” said Sean Flint, president of U.S. and Canada, Convergint. “We're excited for Beckwith to join us—the company’s innovation, proven success, and vertical expertise complements our service capabilities nicely and will greatly catalyze our presence in the local market.”
Partnering with Convergint is the natural next step to enhance Beckwith’s capabilities, said Thomas Schluter, CEO of Beckwith. “Our guiding philosophy is well-aligned with Convergint’s core Values and Beliefs, and we look forward to working together to bring new opportunities and possibilities to our valued colleagues and customers.”
