Systems integrator Convergint announced it has acquired Beckwith, a Texas-based integrator that operates Beckwith Electronic Engineering Co. and Beckwith Electronic Systems. 

Beckwith specializes in communication, security and life safety systems. The acquisition adds 140 colleagues to Convergint, greatly expanding the company’s vertical reach and presence across the South Central region of the United States. 

Since its founding in 1962, Beckwith has built a reputable brand and culture, providing a range of life safety and communications systems across vertical markets including: healthcare, education, commercial, restaurant, retail, government, and hotels. 

With a well-established client roster, Beckwith brings experienced and highly trained life safety personnel that expand Convergint’s existing service capabilities in the region. Through the acquisition, Convergint will continue to grow and develop Beckwith’s extensive and established network of customers and partner relationships.
