Bates Security, headquartered in Lexington, Ky., announced the acquisition of Performance Security in Jacksonville, Fla., for undisclosed terms. 

The transaction marks Bates Security’s third acquisition in recent months in Florida. Performance Security will further strengthen the company’s growing presence in the Jacksonville and the greater Northeast Florida market. 

Bill Downing, the former owner of Performance Security said, “Through my 35 years of providing service to my family of customers, relationships have been formed. But it is time for me to retire and enjoy the benefits of my time. I diligently searched for a company, who could provide the same level of service, or better, so that my family of customers would receive only the best service as they have come to expect from Performance Security.”

In the last two years, Bates Security has seen rapid growth in the Jacksonville area with the completed acquisitions of Performance Security, Island Security, and Southtech Integration (dba Dynamark).
