HID has achieved SOC 2 Type 2 certification for its HID Origo Mobile Identities solution. According to the announcement, this demonstrates the company’s ability to maintain a highly secure, cloud-based physical access environment.

HID Origo Mobile Identities is a cloud-based platform that enables technology partners to build integrated access control solutions. The platform offers a scalable, secure infrastructure, including seamless and consistent service, that improves how access control solutions are delivered. The certification signifies that HID Origo Mobile Identities has undergone a rigorous audit process by a third party to demonstrate that effective measures are in place to protect the security and availability of customer data, according to the high standards of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Trust Services Criteria.

“We are pleased to receive the SOC 2 Type 2 certification, which complements our commitment and dedication to protecting customer data and providing security,” said Hilding Arrehed, vice president of product management and cloud services, HID. “We will continue to invest in the HID Origo Mobile Identities platform to develop new capabilities that further enable robust security measures and ensure a seamless user experience.”

HID said the SOC 2 Type 2 certification is part of the company’s initiative to deliver innovative and efficient digital processes that help customers deploy reliable, cloud-connected access control ecosystems. This technology enables organizations to enhance their security, improve workplace efficiency and easily scale their access control infrastructure.
