The Kidde EXCELLENCE series comprised of multi-wave, multi-angle smoke detectors, as well as intelligent addressable input and output units (IO modules), and manual call points.

Kidde said the new series will be constantly updated to improve the user experience. The series features pluggable connectors on modules and call points, a quick removable door and quick removable chassis.

For additional safety, all detectors offer optional integrated short circuit isolation. The I/O modules offer multiple mounting options, pluggable connectors and link through facility. In addition, the modules feature a local test facility per channel, and local LED status per channel. The manual call points in the EXCELLENCE series feature optional integrated short circuit isolation, dual LED Alarm indication offering 180° alarm visibility, resettable or frangible element support, plus a mechanical alarm flag and a matching maintenance test key.

Legacy devices and panels can be replaced in phases or all together, depending on the existing system and end user requirements. Additional network compatibility with multiple legacy systems as well as the use of the same configuration and graphic software make upgrading even easier.
