Kastle Systems shared the passing of the company’s Founder, Gene Samburg.

The company said Samburg was more than a visionary entrepreneur — he was a true pioneer whose innovations forever changed the security industry. In 2015, Kastle Systems was named SDM’s Integrator of the Year.

According to the announcement, Samburg founded Kastle Systems with the idea to use technology to redefine security. Kaslte said his vision and relentless pursuit of excellence set a new standard for managed security services and inspired an industry to evolve. The company’s 2015 Integrator of the Year win was attributed in part to Samburg’s belief that security as a service (SaaS as Samburg created and defined it) was the wave of the future. 

Kastle said his legacy continues to thrive in the work it does every day. Kastle said it remains committed to the principles that Samburg held dear — pushing boundaries, solving challenges with ingenuity, and leading our industry with cutting-edge solutions. Kastle said Samburg’s impact on the company, industry, and so many lives will never be forgotten. Kastle said it carries forward his legacy with pride, inspired to build upon the remarkable foundation he created.
