Drawing on insights gleaned from listening sessions with industry leaders and customers, Johnson Controls pinpointed the strategies and trends set to define the coming year. The resulting report, “Seven Forces Driving the Next Era of Security,” explores video analytics powering business intelligence, lifecycle-based budgeting, AI guided by human oversight, consumer-grade user experiences, mobile-first identity and access, multisensory detection technologies, and ESG-aligned efficiency.

“Modern security demands more than just reactive measures, it requires intelligent, scalable solutions that integrate seamlessly across operations,” said Greg Parker, vice president, regional lifecycle solutions, Americas, Johnson Controls. “By combining AI-driven incident management with human expertise, we’re empowering organizations to transform their security response systems into strategic operations to inform broader business decisions. Today more than ever, security solutions are essential to resilience, smarter operations and growth.”

At GSX 2025, Johnson Controls demonstrated how the future of security lies in integrated systems that generate actionable intelligence as customers’ expectations shift toward usability, ROI, and impact. The company’s products, solutions, and collaborations include:

  • Software House C•CURE IQ v3.10 features an integrated access control and video surveillance platform delivered through a single browser-based interface. The update introduces dynamic alarm prioritization, spatial, and occupancy analytics and attendance reporting.
  • Software House iSTAR G2 controllers that now support more doors per panel with up to 8 readers and 1 million cardholders and are now OSDP-verified. The expanded portfolio also includes a new family of OSDP input/output modules equipped with complete end-to-end encryption for adherence to Zero-Trust security framework required by cybersecurity standards.
  • End-to-End Security Solution with Kantech, Exacq, DSC and Illustra brings together four systems integrated into one platform: Kantech Access Control, Exacq Video Management, DSC Intrusion Detection, and Illustra Cameras. The technologies combine to provide a unified, interoperable, and scalable security ecosystem for commercial and enterprise applications.
  • IQ Panel 5, the newest iteration of the IQ Panel, introduces trailblazing control panel capabilities, future-ready updates and the leading wireless connectivity of PowerG +.
  • Expanded partnership with Everbridge to introduce Managed CEM Pro and Managed CEM Enterprise, two new managed Critical Event Management (CEM) service offerings integrated with Everbridge’s High Velocity CEM platform and purpose-built AI with Johnson Controls global security expertise.
