Software helps design custom wall plates and panels
October 1, 2005
Liberty Wire and Cable offers four software programs for custom installers and systems integrators. CADBlox is a turn-key solution for designing custom wall plates and panels. The software contains all of Liberty's standard plate sizes and connectors, and is compatible with AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT by AutoDesk. CADQuote bridges the gap between drawings and cost quotes, allowing CADBlox users to quote their panel designs from their desktops, then save the parts to their accounts. Proofs are automatically generated, and quotes can be generated combining any quantity of parts stored in the account. CADBlox V-Series is a design template for non-AutoCAD users, developed for Microsoft's Visio. It contains Liberty's plate sizes and connectors as pre-built Visio shapes with the connectors separated by type into stencils that automatically load when a PanelCrafters template is opened. A Web-based content management program called WebBlox allows users to add connectors to wall plate layouts. Liberty Wire and Cable
