The new security features, such as the ability to specify if certain users can add or delete a record, provide facilities with an even greater capability to track, record and account for the location of tangible assets. BACKTRACK can be used to track virtually any type of item or process, including tools, equipment, files and documents. The following enhancements have been added to the BACKTRACK software application: Field-level security enhancements: Facility managers can specify if a specific user can add or delete a record, increasing the level of data security by limiting user access to certain information. Managers can specify if a specific user can view a field in the program, update the field while performing an add function, and update the field while performing an edit function. Application login options: Users are now presented with options for requiring a user ID and password upon start up.
