Dedicated Micros Inc., Chantilly, Va., announced the appointment of Dr. Alan E. Calegari as the new president and CEO of the company, which is responsible for U.S., Canadian and Latin American markets.

Dr. Calegari brings more than 20 years of experience in executive positions in the fields of security, fire safety, building automation and automotive interiors to Dedicated Micros.

These are exciting times for us and we believe that he can play a pivotal role driving the business forward as we unveil our latest NetVu Connected CCTV solutions, bringing connectivity and ease of use to a whole new level,” said Nigel Petrie, chairman of AD Group, the parent company of Dedicated Micros.

Dr. Calegari holds a PhD, Arts & Sciences from the University of Studies of Rome, Foreign Exchange Program Loyola University; an (MA) Equivalency PhD Program from Harvard University; and he completed the Executive Education Program, Harvard University, Advanced International Business Management, George F. Baker Foundation.
