ScanSource Makes Forbes Best Big Companies List

ScanSource Inc., Greenville, S.C., a value-added distributor of specialty technology products, was named to Forbes Magazine’s Platinum 400, “Best Big Companies in America” list for 2007. Based on its five-year total return percentage of 23.7 percent as computed by Forbes, ScanSource ranked 6th out of all technology companies and number 131 overall. ScanSource is one of only two technology distributors included in the list and the only specialty technology distributor to make the list.

The magazine develops its Forbes Platinum 400 list by screening corporations with $1 billion or more in revenue, using metrics such as the latest 12-month and five-year stock market returns, sales and earnings-per-share growth and debt-to-capital ratios.
