The National Burglar & Fire Alarm
Association (NBFAA), Irving, Texas, board of directors unanimously welcomed the
Virginia Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (VBFAA) back as a chartered
chapter during NBFAA’s Leadership Summit. The VBFAA board of directors voted at
the end of 2007 to rejoin the chapter alliance, and NBFAA made it official at
the board meeting.
“The Virginia board of directors had been considering the move for some time.
After reviewing the benefits that the membership and chapter receive from
affiliation with NBFAA at our annual meeting in 2007, it was a unanimous
decision by members present,” said VBFAA President John D. Kochensparger,
president, Certified Training Academy, Ashland, Va.
“It is great the way the NBFAA board and chapters are welcoming Virginia back
with such vigor. We are privileged to, once again, work alongside NBFAA and its
chapters. We believe that this partnership lends great value to our members.
With this move, our members will enhance their national networking, support and
representation. And, equally important, we add Virginia’s support to strengthen
the ‘collective voice’ of the industry as a whole,” Kochensparger added.
