Scott Schafer joined Arecont Vision, Glendale, Calif., a manufacturer of high-performance megapixel IP cameras and associated software, as executive vice president. Schafer previously worked at Pelco, Clovis, Calif., a manufacturer of video security systems and supporting equipment.

"I really enjoyed my time with Pelco learning about the security industry and Pelco’s unique position in it," Schafer said when informing industry colleagues of the change. "We made a great deal of progress during that time and grew the business substantially. We also completed one of the largest mergers ever in the security industry with Schneider Electric. The company culture and its people are first-rate and I wish them well in their future.
