Acadian Monitoring Services, Elk Grove Village, Ill., a division of Acadian Ambulance Services, acquired Infinity Monitoring Inc., Elk Grove Village, Ill.

The acquisition, which was a cash transaction, gave Acadian Infinity’s stock and added more than 40,000 wholesale monitored accounts to its customer base.

Acadian kept the Infinity central station in place at its Elk Grove Village headquarters, and all staff, including CEO Tim Newman, have accepted similar positions with Acadian going forward.

Acadian is the world’s largest privately owned ambulance service and has been providing monitoring services throughout the country for the last 15 years.  This is the second acquisition for the company.

Tim and Kathy Newman started Infinity seven years ago and grew it into a strong regional presence.  In talking about the acquisition, Tim Newman said, “We have taken the growth of the company about as far as we can without bringing in additional outside resources.  By merging Infinity into Acadian, we will have access to capital, human resources and technological advances that have been made in the security industry.”

Ron Davis, managing partner of Davis Marketing Group, aka The Graybeards, represented Infinity in the transaction.
