A distribution agreement between KBC Networks, a provider of high-performance fiber optic, wireless, broadcast and network transmission products, and Ingram Micro Inc., an information technology (IT) distributor, brings KBC’s video and data transmission products to Ingram Micro’s audience of security resellers and integrators focused on Internet protocol (IP) technologies.
“Ingram Micro’s physical security division provides the resources, support, expertise and enablement tools that specialized players like KBC Networks are looking for in a distribution partner,” said Tom Burns, director, physical security division, Ingram Micro U.S. “The addition of KBC expands our solutions portfolio around physical security and IP surveillance, and increases the value we provide as a single source distribution partner to solution providers throughout the United States.”
“There is no question that the security market is rapidly moving toward IP, and that’s exactly why entering the IP channel with Ingram Micro is so valuable for us,” said Steve Kuntz, president of KBC Networks. “By offering proven transmission products that fit seamlessly into IP environments, we’re confident that KBC and Ingram Micro will play a significant role as the security industry continues to evolve.”
