Visonic Ltd. announced its first outdoor IP camera: the CAM4000. Visonic’s QuickFit Surveillance Kits, which include the company’s PowerLink2 Broadband Adapter, are becoming widely requested by installers and central stations for remote viewing and video verification, the company stated, adding that the CAM4000 is a perfect addition to Visonic’s Video Security solutions. It is a full-featured IP WiFi/Ethernet, outdoor, infrared-illuminated camera and works with Visonic’s newest revision of PowerLink2. The CAM4000 also can operate independently as a stand-alone or system camera. No Ethernet cable is needed — the IP camera installs outdoors with 12V AC power only.
