SurGuard_featSur-Gard, part of Tyco Security Products, released its new Sur-Gard System IV virtual receiver. Supporting more than 120 commonly used communication formats, this virtual receiver uses Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to increase the speed, accuracy and flexibility of each line card to allow the processing of a greater number of communication formats. Offered at a space-saving, compact size at 19 in. x 3.5 in. x 12.24 in. per SG-MLRF4, the Sur-Gard System IV has a built-in redundant power supply. In addition, a CPM with built-in diagnostic software proactively identifies any issues through an easy-to-use Windows™-based SG-Systems Console software. Continually monitoring the automation software ensures automatic back-up to a redundant port. The line cards of the Sur-Gard System IV virtual receiver are hot-swappable for quick removal or replacement while the system is live. DSP increases the speed, accuracy and flexibility of each line card to allow the processing of a greater number of communication formats. Offering mix-and-match capability between up to 24 IP or PSTN line cards, the system supports GSN Ethernet IP formats. For information, visit www.surgard.com.
