ISC Solutions
ISC began revamping its East Coast trade show in 2010, renaming it ISC Solutions and refocusing on education. The changes continue this year as ISC Solutions becomes part of Security Week.

UPDATED 11/02/11 - Security professionals from the Northeast who are attending ISC Solutions this Nov. 2-3, at the Jacob Javits Center in New York can take advantage of many new features and benefits to make the most of their experience.

Show Floor

ISC Solutions expanded the opportunity to identify, source, and purchase new products and services through a New Product Center and New Product and Service Pavilions. These include Tools of the Trade, Business of Security and Security Connections areas. The Tools of the Trade Pavilion will feature the tools used everyday to install a security system; The Business of Security area offers sourcing for the administrative side of Security such as Insurance, Legal, Billing, Marketing, Accounting and labor management services. The Security Connection area is a private environment where security end users can meet and network with new and prospective specifiers, integrators, dealers and installers. In a pre-vetted, appointment-based setting, end-users can review their services and make business connections.

Complimentary Education

The ISC Solutions Education Program is designed to allow all attendees to enhance their knowledge and learn from peers and industry thought leaders on the most critical topics affecting today's market. The complimentary education program, taking place on the show floor, was built based on direct feedback from ISC Solutions' attendees. It will offer two days of programming for dealers, installers, integrators, and end-users in various segments.

Specialty Education

ISC Solutions is also offering specialty education programs including Integrator Case Studies, presented by PSA Security Network; The Crunch 'n Learn series, presented by SecuritySpecifiers.com and an International Association of Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) Regional Conference.

In addition, SecuritySpecifiers.com®, a database on the web consisting of over 1300 specifier-consultants, agreed to produce a major educational program and several networking opportunities at ISC Solutions. The education program, to take place on Wed. Nov. 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., focuses on educational opportunities for architects, engineers, specifiers and consultants involved in the security system design process, delivered in a multi-vendor yet vendor-neutral format. A vertical market presentation, sponsored by PSA Security Network, will follow the educational program, along with a networking reception and time to visit the ISC Solutions exhibits.

ISC is bringing its IP-TAC²: IP Technology Advancement Center & Certificate program to ISC Solutions on Nov. 2 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Part of the ISC Premier Education SeriesSM, this one-day boot camp provides an overview of common interoperability standards including ONVIF and PSIA specifications. Security professionals complete the course with a full understanding of the tactical implementation of surveillance and access control/biometrics connectivity. The course provides a platform for attendees to receive comprehensive, vendor-neutral education on common standards and practices to source, sell and install a complete IP-based system.

Another highlight is the 40th Delegate Meeting & InterPort Police International Security Forum to take place Oct. 31- Nov. 4. Jay Grant, Secretary General of the InterPort Police (International Association of Airport and Seaport Police), stated, “The forum provides a platform for interaction among international law enforcement, public safety and the security stakeholders community who have jurisdiction or oversight responsibilities for an airport, seaport and or transport system.” The forum will be co-located with ISC Solutions Nov. 2-3 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.

“We are participating alongside Security Week to facilitate interaction between our members and the security industry manufacturers and integration service providers,” said Grant. “The Forum offers intimate networking opportunities to share best practices for today's challenges and gain insight for mitigating tomorrow's threats while learning from their professional peers about issues such as international cooperation, technology solutions, and information sharing.”

The ISC app

ISC Solutions is offering web-based and smart phone tools to organize the experience. Pre-show, ISC Solutions offers information and scheduling tools to help discover new vendors and manufacturers and receive information to create a daily agenda. At-show, ISC offers a mobile app for security professionals to browse the full exhibitor list, receive new product information and filter exhibitors by product category or segment, access educational sessions by track and speaker, pinpoint show floor routing with a new and improved interactive floor plan, and see which exhibitors are offering Show Specials.
