Napco Security Technologies Inc. announced that its new full data GSM radio, StarLink2 SLE-GSM (http://www.napcosecurity.com/starlinkgsm.html) is now available at all its distributors nationwide. A two-way GSM alarm system communicator, it replaces hardwire dial-up phone lines by wirelessly transmitting alarm signals to any central station. This ultra-economical, full-data backup or primary alarm communicator universally works on any panel, and has coverage virtually everywhere (plus choice of two top carriers). It has a suggested dealer price of under $100, the company said.
Milestone Systems (www.milestonesys.com), specializing in open platform IP video management software (VMS) and ALSO-Actebis (www.alsoactebis.com), distributor of IT and consumer electronics products, signed a distribution agreement to provide Milestone XProtect® IP VMS in Scandinavia. The distribution agreement initially covers all of Scandinavia, but allows the opportunity for expansion into the rest of Europe.
“Our companies’ agreement ensures that our dealers can offer the market-leading software to support the strong camera brands we carry, such as Bosch, Canon, HIKvision and D-Link,” said Michael Hygild Sorensen, product sales specialist at ALSO-Actebis.
Evolve Security (www.EvolveSecurity.com), an IP-focused security distributor based in Portland, Ore., now has a distribution partnership with Smartvue (http://smartvue.com/solutions/), in which Evolve Security’s dealers, installers and integrators will have access to Smartvue’s complete line of IP video solutions, including network video recorders (NVRs), the online cloud-based remote management service “Cloudvue,” and mobile surveillance apps. Smartvue offers an innovative and intuitive solution for recording, managing, and storing IP video, said a Smartvue spokesperson.
Stanley Security Solutions, a business division of Stanley Black & Decker announced that its Indianapolis manufacturing facility achieved two ISO certifications from TÜV SÜD, a globally recognized testing, inspection and certification organization, for its commitment to providing a Quality and Environmental Management System.
Typically, achieving ISO certification for the first time takes approximately two to three years. The Stanley facility received ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications within just 14 months, which the company attributes to “the complete support of Stanley’s management, dedicated workforce and basic processes already in place.”
PSA Security Network® (www.buy PSA.com) announced the second round of premier partners in its new Premier Partner Program: Arecont Vision, CSC (Communications Supply Corporation), HID Global and OpenEye. The program was created to enhance the value of the PSA relationship to its vendor partners and subsequently to its owners and customers.
The PSA Premier Partner Program has a defined process for evaluating vendor partners, PSA said. By meeting specific and measureable objectives, vendor partners can become eligible for premier status, which includes a variety of opportunities to foster brand visibility and increased sales volume.
