Axis Communications, Chemsford, Mass., introduced a strong addition to its video encoder family with the new AXIS Q7411 Video Encoder. This one-channel video encoder with outstanding video processing capabilities up to 60 frames per second (fps) is the perfect solution for analog CCTV installations migrating to IP video and applications such as in casinos, manufacturing plants and law enforcement surveillance solutions, the company stated.
AXIS Q7411 can deliver multiple, individually configured video streams simultaneously at full frame rate in all resolutions, and the video encoder offers highly efficient H.264 video compression format in both Baseline and Main Profiles. Motion JPEG is also supported for increased flexibility.
AXIS Q7411 supports features such as two-way audio, configurable I/O ports, edge storage with the built-in microSD/microSDHC memory card slot and Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af). For significant installation savings, the video encoder enables PTZ control over the coaxial cable in addition to standard support for PTZ cameras using the serial ports.
The new video encoder also provides event management capabilities with embedded intelligent video features such as tampering alarm, motion detection and audio detection, in addition to support for AXIS Camera Application Platform.
AXIS Q7411 Video Encoder is expected to be available to order in October through Axis’ distribution channels at the suggested retail price of $499.
