Systems integration firm Convergint Technologies, Schaumberg, Ill., recently signed on as a value added reseller for Houston-based Behavioral Recognition Systems’ (BRS Labs) AISight, a self-learning artificial intelligence system that identifies potential threats in real-time across multiple video feeds and locations. The alliance now allows Convergint to integrate AISight into its customers’ implementations.

The partnership paid off relatively quickly, as Convergint, which ranked seventh on SDM’s 2012 Top Systems Integrators Report, closed a $2 million deal to use AISight for an enterprise-grade safety and security implementation. Moving forward, the two companies will continue to partner on similar projects within the United States and around the world.

“Convergint and BRS deliver real value to the enterprise security market. Together, we can continue to accelerate AISight’s broad acceptance and rapid adoption by the security industry. We’re looking forward to working closely with Convergint Technologies on this and many future projects,” said John Frazzini, BRS Labs president.

Founded in 2005, BRS Labs created AISight, an artificial intelligence system that delivers real-time alerts for unexpected activity, in response to what it says was a market need for a solution to make video surveillance more reliable. The advanced capabilities of AISight, coupled with an increasing need for solutions that increase the reliability of video surveillance, were what made the company an attractive partner for Convergint Technologies, said Tony Varco, vice president, Security Division at Convergint.

“BRS Labs has brought a whole new concept to the intelligent video market,” Varco said. “More large security analytics deals now specifically call for behavioral recognition software from BRS Labs than any other vendor. It makes perfect sense to partner with the market leader and participate in the customer’s safety and security success.”
