Axis Communications added the AXIS Q7411 video encoder to its product lineup. This one-channel video encoder with video processing capabilities up to 60 frames per second (fps) is a solution for analog CCTV installations migrating to IP video. AXIS Q7411 can deliver multiple, individually configured video streams simultaneously at full frame rate in all resolutions, and the video encoder offers H.264 video compression format in both Baseline and Main Profiles, affording significant savings in bandwidth and storage. Motion JPEG also is supported for increased flexibility. AXIS Q7411 supports key IP surveillance features such as two-way audio, configurable I/O ports, edge storage with the built-in microSD/microSDHC memory card slot and Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af). For installation savings, the video encoder enables PTZ control over the coaxial cable in addition to standard support for PTZ cameras using the serial ports.
