The Illinois Electronic Security Association will hold an election meeting and vendor showcase on Wednesday Nov. 14, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare. The election meeting is sponsored by Security America Risk Retention Group, which is the insurance company developed by the Electronic Security Association. If you have an opinion about who you want leading this association and how it is done, this is the most important meeting you can attend. In fact, you can toss your own hat into the ring that day and run for office, IESA said. Nominations will be taken until the floor vote for each office. All but one officer position is being contested.

A vendor showcase will take place after the election meeting from 2p.m. to 5p.m. The showcase has grown to twice the size projected with 41 vendors at the time of writing. According to IESA, because of the growth of this event, there is no need to travel out of state for the latest information on products and services.

After the vendor showcase, the ESA and SARRG will sponsor a social gathering just outside of the exhibit hall to give an industry Legislative Update. Following will be the final IESA meeting of the year.

ESA’s National Training School offered two free class placements for the upcoming FireAlarm Installation Methods course the IESA is hosting on Dec. 6-7. Every attendee will have a chance to win.
