95A00-3The Electronic Security Association (ESA), Irving, Texas, launched a new Web presence to help consumers find the most qualified and trustworthy professionals for their home safety and automation needs.

The website, www.SecurePlusweb.org, showcases ESA member companies who have joined the SECURE+ Initiative. These companies install security systems, along with lifestyle-enhancing features, such as remote control of lighting, air conditioning and heating, making their customers’ lives not only safer, but simpler, more energy-efficient and more convenient.

“Consumers are looking for experienced integrators. The SECURE+ designation identifies qualified ESA member companies that have demonstrated expertise in the installation and operation of systems that include features to enhance control and convenience,” said Merlin Guilbeau, ESA executive director and chief executive officer.

“Installing a home automation system puts a great amount of trust in the installer’s hands. SECURE+ integrators can deliver systems that give homeowners the ability to control the everyday functions of their homes such as lighting and temperature, with the added benefit that they are experts in helping ensure the safety and security of the home,” Guilbeau said.

In addition to providing a list of SECURE+ member companies, the new website also provides specific information about various products and solutions that give homeowners remote control of their electronic security system, including camera systems, lighting, appliances and intelligent climate controls.

A collaborative effort by an ESA-created task force of integration companies, manufacturers and service providers, the initiative raises public awareness about the value of professional security integration with respect to the digital lifestyle service offerings in today’s market.

“For SECURE+ integrators, this initiative is an opportunity to showcase the terrific job ESA member companies are doing for customers who need security services for protection and who also want to use technology to connect and control every aspect of their busy lives," Guilbeau added.
