Legrand North America, West Hartford, Conn., announced it acquired NuVo Technologies, LLC (NuVo), a company based in Hebron, Ky., a provider of whole home audio solutions. NuVo will continue to operate as an independent business within Legrand’s Home Systems division and focus on home audio markets under the NuVo brand name.

The acquisition is consistent with Legrand’s proactive strategy and business objective to acquire market-leading companies that complement its product line portfolio, according to Legrand in a press release. It also stated the addition of NuVo’s high quality multi-room audio systems strengthens Legrand’s significant audio offering across all of its professional channels.

NuVo and Legrand will leverage their combined technologies to deliver new, best-in-class stand-alone audio systems as well as sub systems of Legrand’s home automation solutions. NuVo will contribute expert knowledge in the home audio market which is based on an 85 year pedigree of being a worldwide innovator of a listening experience that transcends other commercially available audio equipment. With its expansive global reach throughout the Custom Electronics Installation industry, NuVo further enhances Legrands overall network of dealers and distributors.
