WESCO International Inc., Pittsburgh, a provider of electrical, industrial, and communications maintenance, repair, operations (MRO) and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) products, construction materials, and advanced supply chain management and logistics services, announced plans to expand and strengthen its operations in southern California to better serve customers.

WESCO will consolidate its Communications Supply Corporation (CSC), Anaheim, and Compton operations into a new 125,000-square-foot service facility in Buena Park. The new WESCO facility will more than double WESCO’s capacity and significantly expand its inventory of communications, security, electrical, construction, and industrial products.

“The investments we’re making in southern California will enable us to respond faster and more efficiently with the products and services that our customers want,” said Ron Van, group vice president and general manager, WESCO. “This expansion broadens our sales, project management, logistics, and operational support services to meet the needs of our customers.”

Expected to open in the fall of 2013, the Buena Park facility will feature a training facility, counter and will call operations, and a larger wire and cable service center. WESCO will also open a new facility in San Bernardino to concentrate on lighting solutions and projects.
