Volutone, Simi Valley, Calif.,a regional distributor in the southern California and Nevada territory and member of the PowerHouse Alliance, announced that effective July 1, 2014 the company is again a distributor for Sony Electronics to select A/V specialty retailers and custom installers in the southern California and Nevada regions. Volutone will be providing local warehousing, support and training for Sony products including its 4K Ultra HD TVs, ES front projectors and Home Theater Receivers and HiRes Audio products as well as other high-performance Sony categories.

In 1957, it was Stan Schireson (son of company co-founder Jack Schireson) who shook hands with Akio Morita, president of Sony, to then carry the company's two transistor radios; today it is Trevor Hansen, grandson of Stan and vice president at Volutone who signed the deal with Frank Sterns, vice president of A/V Specialty and Custom Installation at Sony Electronics.

The faces may change but the dedication has not.
