vegetablesControl4, a provider of residential and commercial automation systems, announced that its wholly-owned U.K. subsidiary acquired UK-based Extra Vegetables Ltd., a privately held company.  Extra Vegetables, best known for developing integration modules and drivers for Control4® smart home systems, will be fully integrated into Control4 with the charter of strengthening the company’s interoperability development efforts for the connected home. All Extra Vegetables employees will become part of the Control4 team.

 From the most popular multi-room audio products to favorite satellite services, Control4 will now distribute and provide technical support for more than one hundred Extra Vegetables’ drivers and modules for Control4 automation systems, eliminating the complexity for Dealers managing multiple vendors, licensing, and permission models.  Dealers will continue to be able to integrate the same third-party products for A/V gear, climate control, IP cameras, blinds, lighting, security, irrigation systems, and more, while support for these drivers, and future drivers, will now be expanded and serviced by the award-winning Control4 tech support team.
