This afternoon, the companies who submitted more than 110 products for consideration will find out how their entries fared in the 36th annual Security Industry Association (SIA) New Product Showcase (NPS). Judges spent yesterday evaluating entries to determine who will take home awards in each of 26 categories, as well as the two coveted top awards: Best New Product and Judges’ Choice. At their discretion, judges may also present an Honorable Mention Award to any non-winning entry they feel is deserving of recognition.

This year’s field features 110 entries, the largest number in NPS history.  At 3 p.m. today, SIA will take the lobby stage outside the main show floor entrance on Level 2 to recognize the winners. Last year’s presentation drew a huge audience, so be sure to arrive early to secure your place. Several categories have been renamed to reflect changes in the industry and with end user applications.
