ScanSource Security, a value-added distributor of physical security products and a business unit of ScanSource Inc., is providing resellers comprehensive configuration services on Axis Communications network cameras and encoders. In addition to the services, the distributor is providing special pricing of $0.99 per piece of Axis equipment configured.

The systems are configured in the Custom Configuration Center in the ScanSource Distribution Center. Services include setting IP addresses according to range provided by the customer; functionality and diagnostic testing; labeling the cameras and packaging with IP addresses; custom reporting of IP addresses, serial numbers and MAC addresses for each unit; and firmware updates.

Resellers using this service will not be invoiced until the product is configured and shipped from the ScanSource Distribution Center. They also can have the solution shipped directly to the end user on their behalf, eliminating the need for them to bring it in house and manage the process.
