ADS Security Acquires Myrtle Beach ProTec Plus Accounts

ADS Security, ranked 21 on the SDM 100 and 2014 SDM Dealer of the Year, has acquired customer accounts from ProTec Plus Inc. in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The purchase adds more than 1,000 accounts to the ADS South Carolina customer base, growing the market to approximately 4,000 total accounts, and marks the second deal for ADS in South Carolina, including the 2014 acquisition of American Burglar and Fire Alarms in Columbia, S.C.

ProTec Plus customers will have access to the ADS advanced suite of residential and commercial security and automation services, including mobile management; smart home technologies; video surveillance and access control solutions; a proprietary UL-listed, CSAA Five Diamond monitoring center located in Nashville, Tenn.; and My ADS customer portal with simple online account management.

The purchased accounts will continue to be serviced out of the ProTec Plus Myrtle Beach location, a new branch office for ADS Security. ProTec Plus owner Michael Thomas and his team will be joining ADS.
