Cobalt Robotics announced that it has received its SOC 2 certification — a widely recognized and respected industry standard set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants that proves a company adheres to a comprehensive set of trust services criteria for keeping data safe and secure.

Considered the “gold standard” for security compliance for companies that provide cloud-based services, this certification requires companies establish and follow strict information security policies and procedures encompassing the security, availability, confidentiality and privacy of customer data.

The company sees this certification as a proof point of its ongoing commitment to safeguarding customers’ data and growing cyber security requirements for existing and prospective customers. Cobalt is now in the process of securing its SOC Type 2 certification. The audit will be completed in 2020.
