American Alarm and Communications announced today it has completed the acquisition of Eaglestar Security Inc. of Sutton, Mass. which provided security, access control, video and fire alarm services for 950 homes and businesses, primarily in Central Massachusetts.

Eaglestar was established in 1985 by Christopher Yacino. Over the years he built a respected security systems business based on the fundamentals of honesty, technical competency and customer service. Yacino and all of Eaglestar’s employees will remain with the company and have joined the team at American Alarm’s full-service Central Massachusetts branch in Auburn.

“We are pleased to welcome the Eaglestar team and their customers to our group,” said Louis Sampson, chief operating officer and co-owner of American Alarm, who led the acquisition and integration process for Eaglestar. “Security and life safety services are technology intensive, yet they still require an experienced professional team to work with customers and make sure their specific needs are met. That’s our approach, to be the strong local company that stays close to our customers, with sufficient scale to deliver excellent and timely service. Chris and the Eaglestar staff will be great additions to our team.”

The 24-7 monitoring services of former Eaglestar customers have been transferred to American Alarm’s company-owned and operated, UL-Certified central monitoring station in Arlington, Mass.

“American Alarm shares many of the values that are important to me: honesty, high quality service and a customer-first attitude,” Yacino wrote in a letter to Eaglestar customers announcing the acquisition. “For years, I’ve referred many larger alarm installations to American Alarm and have always received positive feedback on the work American Alarm has done. I know that American Alarm will provide top-notch service in the future.”
