AMAG Technology announced that W.E. O’Neil Construction Company chose AMAG’s integrated Symmetry Security Management System for the West Edge development project in West Los Angeles.

Symmetry Access Control, Symmetry CompleteView video management, Symmetry Blue Bluetooth readers and Zenitel Turbine audio will be deployed in West LA’s newest premier destination to live, work, eat and shop. West Edge is 200,000 square feet and eight floors of creative office space that includes 600 on-site apartments and 90,000 square feet of retail space. Special amenities include a natural grocer, fitness center and several bars and restaurants.

Symmetry will be installed throughout the entire complex and partitioned so the residential and commercial sides can manage their own areas, providing flexibility and the ability to add additional partitions for tenants. Symmetry will also monitor the building management, IT system, analytics and audio/visual systems.

HCI Systems was chosen to deploy AMAG’s Symmetry system, as well as to install the low voltage systems, fire, two-way communication, emergency responder radio communication, booster system, structured cable, gas, telecommunications and WiFi.

“AMAG’s integrated Symmetry security system meets all the security requirements the cutting-edge West Edge development demands,” said W.E. O’Neil Construction Company Senior Project Manager Scott Mosier. “We will be providing state-of-the-art security for our residents, tenants and guests that can grow as companies rent out commercial space.”

“We look forward to working with O’Neil on all aspects of the West Edge development project and providing a forward-thinking solution like AMAG’s Symmetry system with Bluetooth readers will provide mobile options in the future,” said HCI Systems Regional Vice President Mike Peters.

West Edge is expected to be completed at the end of 2022.
