The Medical Monitoring Association (MAMA) will host its conference virtually, the organization announced in an email to MAMA members.

According to MAMA, the uptick in COVID-19 cases and the trajectory of the Delta variant led to the change.

“In light of our current national reality and in hearing the concern from members and vital sponsors of our association, the Board has voted to transition to an all-virtual format for this year’s MAMA Annual Conference,” MAMA President Daniel Oppenheim of Affiliated Monitoring wrote.

“After candid and thoughtful discussions, we believe that this decision is a prudent one for the health and safety of us all,” Oppenheim continued. “We are confident that building off our successful virtual conference last year, we have established a way to offer you the same dynamic programming, meaningful networking opportunities, and comprehensive industry content that our in-person conferences have delivered.”
