When SDM put out its inaugural issue in January, 1971, the security industry as we know it today did not exist. There were no trade shows, no systems integrators, no DIY systems and no reliable publications to turn to for information.

The New Jersey Electronic Security Association (NJESA) celebrated the 50th anniversary of its founding with a gala dinner on Oct. 5 at Caesars Palace in Atlantic City. The association paid tribute to the “Pioneers of the NJ Security Industry” for their dedication and commitment to the industry though the years.

Senator James W. Holzaffel (R) and Assemblymen David W. Wolfe (R) and Gregory P. McGuckin (R) of the New Jersey legislature provided a joint legislative resolution congratulating the New Jersey Electronic Security Alarm Association (NJESA) on its 50th anniversary.
