DSI Security Services of Dothan, Ala., announces the acquisition of Complete Security & Sound (CSS). The transaction for undisclosed terms will become effective July 1, according to the announcement.

CSS, also based in Dothan, provides comprehensive security and audio solutions in the Wiregrass region, an area encompassing parts of southeastern Alabama, southern Georgia and the Florida Panhandle.

The acquisition will allow DSI to better serve residential and small business customers throughout its operational area, particularly in the electronic security systems segment. Leadership at DSI looks forward to the addition of CCS expertise in alarm systems, surveillance camera systems and gate hardware, the announcement states.

Jim Capps, the current owner of CSS, will join DSI as electronics system solutions residential and small business operations manager. Current CSS technician Thomas LaVallee will also join DSI as an electronics technician. Retaining these experienced resources figures prominently in the value that DSI expects to gain through the partnership.

Capps has had a successful and rewarding tenure at CSS, but notes in a letter to his customers that, “it has been hard to keep up with the challenges of today’s workforce and technology changes.” Partnering with DSI allows continued excellent service to CSS customers while gaining the advantages of DSI’s staffing resources, the announcement states.
