Las Vegas-based Sting Alarm announced the acquisition of Shield Fire & Security, a local competing residential and commercial fire and security business.

Shield Fire & Security was established in 2009 by John Verville. According to its website, the company services hundreds of businesses and residents across Southern Nevada. Sting Alarm will gain all customers of the acquired business and immediately begin servicing during the transition.

“We are pleased to expand our residential and commercial customer base with Shield Fire & Security,” said Jon Perry, Sting Alarm President. “John built a great company at Shield and we are excited for the opportunity to service these new customers into 2023 and the future.”

The transaction marks Sting Alarm’s third acquisition over the past six month. In June 2022, the company purchased Signal Fire & Security, a Las Vegas-based fire protection focused on service excellence. In July 2022, Sting Alarm acquired Nexsys, a commercial alarm integrator in Las Vegas, which specialized in the design, installation and management of security systems for businesses.

These strategic investments with like-minded businesses expands Sting Alarm’s customer base with companies which share the same vision, state-of-the-art products and a top-notch customer service experience, according to the announcement.
