CertaSite, a commercial fire protection and life safety company, has hired Kara Ferguson as human resources director. She will be based in Indianapolis at the CertaSite headquarters. 

Coming from the world of operations, Ferguson is experienced in compliance, safety and employee relations and recruiting and retention. Her corporate experience includes Walmart, Kohls, Home Depot, and UPS. Most recently, she helped build an HR program from the ground up and received top accolades of Indy’s Top Places to Work in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Ferguson earned her undergraduate degree from Oakland City University and is a certified professional by the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP).
