The PowerHouse Alliance announced Evolution Home Entertainment Corp. as its newest distributor member, expanding the group’s reach to now include all of Canada.

With the addition of Evolution Home Entertainment Corp., the Pittsburgh-based national distributor consortium location count has increased to 70 locations, representing over 900,000 square feet of warehousing.

Evolution Home Entertainment Corp., based in Concord, Ontario, has been serving the Canadian market for over 30 years. The company specializes in shading, A/V distribution, amps and receivers, speakers and mounts. Evolution’s distribution sister company, Gem-Sen, also joins the PowerHouse Alliance with a focus on home, car audio and marine audio business.

“Expanding our consortium’s reach to Canada represents an important milestone for the PowerHouse Alliance. We’re continuing to grow and we’re excited to have a presence in the Canadian market,” said PowerHouse Alliance Executive Director Dennis Holzer. “Not only is Evolution aligned with our mission and goals, but they already carry many of the same lines that PowerHouse has which has made for some natural synergies right off the bat. We look forward to supporting this new member and learning from their experience in the market.”
