The Security Industry Association (SIA) Executive Committee has named Bill Bozeman as an honorary SIA member. Bozeman — a security industry veteran and longtime SIA member and SIA Board of Directors member — is one of only six individuals to have received this honor, joining fellow honorary members Les Gold, Joe Grillo, Sandy Jones, Dave McGowan and Scott Schafer. SIA will recognize Bozeman during ISC West.

Bozeman is the founder of Bozeman Strategic Solutions, which provides strategic planning and positioning for integrators and manufacturers in the electronic security industry. Prior to founding Bozeman Strategic Solutions, he served as president and CEO of PSA Network, the world’s largest system integrator consortium, owned by the most progressive security and audio-visual integrators throughout North America. Bozeman’s 40 years of experience in the security systems integration business paved a successful track record in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments. He has held previous roles as president of Delta Audio-Visual Security, president of Dictograph Alarm Systems and vice president of strategic alliances for Pinkerton Systems Integration and has directed sophisticated electronic security projects for corporate America, the U.S. government and private institutions. Bozeman attended Louisiana State University, graduated from the University of New Orleans and is qualified as a Certified Protection Professional with the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS). He has received a variety of industry awards and honors, including being named to the Security Integration Hall of Fame, being recognized as one of the 25 Most Influential Security Executives, receiving the PSA Network’s Paul Marcus Award for offering consistent leadership and direction to PSA and being presented with SIA’s George R. Lippert Memorial Award for outstanding contributions to SIA and the security industry. He is a board of directors member for Unlimited Technology, Netwatch, Security Specifiers and nFact.

“I am honored to be named an honorary member of SIA. The knowledge I have gained, the decision makers I have met, the best-of-breed SIA conferences and the early adoption of security industry-specific project management, cybersecurity and now artificial intelligence leadership all speak to SIA’s vision and why I hold SIA in the highest regard,” said Bozeman. “I am proud to have served SIA, and I sincerely appreciate the honorary membership.”

Bozeman’s long history of active involvement with SIA includes working on the creation of a formal membership category for independent integrators in 2012; collaborating on the development and execution of Cyber:Secured Forum, an event co-created by SIA, PSA and RX and held in 2018 and 2019; strongly supporting SIA’s Security Industry Cybersecurity Certification (SICC) credential; ensuring SIA’s representation on PSA’s State of the Industry Panel for several years; serving for four years on the SIA Board of Directors; serving as chair of SIA’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Advisory Board; and presenting at SIA and industry events including Securing New Ground and ISC West.

“Bill Bozeman is one of the most highly respected executives in our industry, and he has had a profound impact on the success of SIA and strength of our industry,” said Don Erickson, CEO, SIA. “We are thrilled to recognize him as an honorary SIA member. Bill has been an exceptional industry leader and a true gentleman, and his many contributions to SIA have helped the association to better serve the integrator community, deliver top-quality thought leadership and engage on the issues that matter most to security companies, from AI and cybersecurity to addressing the security skills game through robust training. We owe a debt of gratitude to Bill for his confidence in SIA and for always providing advice that is constructive and intended with the industry’s best interests in mind.”
