AMG Systems has introduced the AMG265M, an industrially hardened, ultra-compact fiber optic gigabit ethernet media converter. Models within the series feature either screw terminals or IEC connectors. The converter is available as both non-PoE and PoE models with IEEE802.3at 30W or IEEE802.3bt 60/90W PoE. The AMG265M PoE PSE models are suitable for powering high-power requirement PoE IP devices in difficult applications that require equipment to be industrially hardened and immune from temperature, shock, and vibration. The AMG265M ultra-compact size equates to a reported 74 percent reduction in volumetric size compared to other industrial DIN rail media converters.
