Cypress Integration Solutions of has introduced an OSDP Cable Test Tool (OTT-2100-2) that tests cable before installing OSDP components. The OSDP Cable Test Tool answers one of the most common questions about OSDP: Will OSDP work on this cable? Using the OTT-2100-2 eliminates the guesswork, allowing integrators to quote OSDP projects more accurately. The cable test tool is a pair of compact units that connect to the reader cabling. Used together, the set simulates OSDP communication at different baud rates to determine packet loss. The tool can be used to conduct either quick tests or in-depth tests.
