Oncam, a provider of intelligent cloud video surveillance solutions, has successfully achieved System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type 2 certification, following an independent audit of its security controls and operational processes.

Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SOC 2 Type 2 is a rigorous independent audit for evaluating how organizations manage, secure and govern customer data. The independent audit confirms that across all tested controls, including access management, infrastructure security, monitoring and incident response, Oncam successfully met all controls with no exceptions noted, confirming the effectiveness of Oncam’s internal security, systems and processes.

Oncam’s infrastructure is hosted on AWS and incorporates encryption for data in transit and at rest, strict access controls, as well as monitored system operations designed to protect sensitive video data and customer information.
