Castaway Technology and Security Supports Cloud-Based Security Transformation at Hard Rock Stadium

Castaway Technology and Security (CTS), a Florida-based security integration firm, announced its role in the large-scale modernization of security infrastructure at Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins.
In collaboration with Verkada, CTS supported the transition from a legacy, on-premise security system to a fully integrated, cloud-based platform spanning video surveillance, access control, alarms and guest management.
The deployment included approximately 850 cameras and 380 access-controlled doors, alongside a comprehensive alarm and intercom system supporting daily operations and large-scale global events.
“This project required not just scale, but precision,” said Craig Bruce of Castaway Technology and Security (CTS). “We were working across multiple operational environments simultaneously from NFL operations to Formula 1 and tennis events each with its own security requirements.”
CTS coordinated across multiple stakeholders to document, redesign and deploy the system with minimal disruption. Key elements included cloud migration from legacy systems, advanced PTZ camera deployments at heights exceeding 350 feet, LPR integration for vehicle access control, temporary deployments for major events and SOC redesign and optimization.
The new system delivers improved situational awareness, faster response times, and a unified operational platform across the venue.
