Frank DeFina, president of Panasonic System Solutions Co. (PSSA), Secaucus, N.J., has been appointed to the executive committee of the board of directors of the Security Industry Association (SIA), Alexandria, Va., as secretary of the association.

“I am honored to accept the nomination to SIA’s executive committee,” said DeFina. “The security industry is constantly changing, and SIA is poised to embrace these changes and grow with them. Serving on the board is an opportunity to help shape the association’s future, as well as that of the industry.”

DeFina joins the association’s executive committee after serving as a director on its board and a member of its education and training committee. DeFina currently sits on SIA’s marketing and membership committee.

Before his appointment with PSSA, DeFina was president of Panasonic Broadcast and Television Systems Co. while concurrently serving as president of Panasonic Security and Digital Imaging Co.
