Klein Tools’ insulated tools comply with NFPA-70E standards to protect users against shock and meet IEC 60900 and ASTM F1505 standards for insulated tools. The tools provide protection against shock from energized sources up to 1,000V. Plastic handles are marked with the official, international 1,000V rating symbol. Pliers and cutting tools are constructed of flame-retardant, impact-resistant outer coatings and a thick, extra-tough, high-dielectric inner coating that is bonded to the tool’s forged steel handle. Insulated screwdrivers and nut drivers feature the same dual layers of insulation on the shaft of the tool instead of the handle. Klein Tools
